Location 

The front passenger airbag and the associated squibs are located in the instrument panel above the glove box.

Task 

If a head-on collision occurs, the front passenger is protected against injuries by the front passenger airbag. The front passenger airbag is designed in two stages and is started by the squibs, and thus its deployment can be controlled.
