Heated seats switch-over function - GF91.30-P-2002QA

MODELS 209.3 as of 2.6.03 up to 31.5.04, 209.4 up to 31.5.04 

with CODE (873) Electrically heated left and right front seats 

with CODE (401a) Front luxury seat, incl. heated seat and seat ventilation 

Function requirements: 

Manual switch-over with code (873) heated seats for left and right front seats 

The heated seats HS [SIH] have two heating stages.

By pushing the left front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s28) or the right front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s29) down, heating stage 2 of the heated seats HS [SIH] is activated (both red LEDs in the left front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s28) or in the right front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s29) are illuminated).

By pushing the left front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s28) or the right front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s29) up, the system is switched to stage 1 (one red LED is illuminated in the left front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s28) or in the right front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s29)).

The heated seats HS [SIH] have two heating stages.

By pushing the left front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s28) or the right front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s29) up one time, heating stage 2 of the heated seats HS [SIH] is activated (both red LEDs in the left front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s28) or in the right front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s29) are illuminated).

By pushing the left front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s28) or the right front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s29) up again, the system is switched to stage 1 (one red LED is illuminated in the left front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s28) or in the right front HS [SIH]/seat ventilation switch (N72/1s29)).

Automatic switch-over via timer control 

A timer control has been implemented in the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) for the heated seats HS [SIH]. After switching on heating stage 2, it remains on for 5 min. Next, the system switches to heating stage 1 for 30 min. Afterwards, the heated seats HS [SIH] are switched off automatically.

In vehicles with code (401a) front deluxe seats, incl. seat heating and seat ventilation, the heated seats HS [SIH] are not automatically switched off based on the timer control, but remain active on heating stage 1 until the seat ventilation is switched off.

IMPORTANT The different heating stages are implemented through pulsed actuation of the left front seat heated cushions (R13/1) and the left front backrest heated cushions (R13/2) or the right front seat heated cushions (R13/3) and the right front backrest heated cushions (R13/4). In heating stage 2, the heated cushions (R13/1, R13/2, R13/3, and R13/4) are actuated with 100% heat output, in heating stage 1 with 33% heat output.
