Steering column adjustment normalization, function - GF46.15-P-3002PP
MODELS 203.0 /2 /7 with CODE (275c) Electrically adjustable driver seat, steering column and exterior mirrors with memory with CODE (242b) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory
Normalizing
Normalization is important for the assignment between the absolute adjustment position and the position recorded by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1).
Normalization must be performed during initial start-up or in a denormalized condition.
The following steering column stops must be approached for the normalizing process:
- Steering column height adjustment: lower stop position
- Steering column longitudinal adjustment: front stop position
Operating procedure
Press the steering column up/down and forward/back switch (S91/2s13) (up to 30.6.02) or steering column adjustment switch (S59) (as of 1.7.02) until the mechanical stop is approached and keep pressed for a further 0.25 seconds.
Renormalization
Renormalization takes place if one of the two above-mentioned stop positions is moved to in a normalized state.
Denormalization
Denormalization takes place:
- the battery is disconnected (G1) or
- the mechanical stop is exceeded.
