Remove/install temperature sensor - AR15.60-P-3000QB

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of lifting platform and position four support plates at lifting platform support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

1 Switch off ignition    
2 Remove rear section of lower engine compartment paneling IMPORTANTInstallation:  Prior to installation, wash spilled fuel off the engine and transmission AR61.20-P-1105P
3 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position Model 203 AR88.40-P-1000P
    Model 209 AR88.40-P-1000Q
4 Reduce pressure in cooling system, to do this, slowly open the cap (1) at expansion reservoir (2) and re-close IMPORTANT The coolant temperature should be approx. 40°C  
5 Remove air filter housing (3).   AR09.10-P-1150QB
6 Release and disconnect electrical connector at crankshaft Hall sensor (B70)    
7 Unlatch the electrical connector at the coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) and disconnect    
8 Unscrew bolt (4) and remove clamping plate (5) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA15.60-P-1001-01A 
9 Fit new O-ring (6) to new coolant temperature sensor (B11/4)    
10 Pull coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) out of cylinder head and immediately insert new coolant temperature sensor (B11/4)    
11 Install in the reverse order    
12 Pour in coolant and bleed cooling system IMPORTANT Do not drain off coolant. AR20.00-P-1142QB
13 Read out fault memory and erase if required STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system *WH58.30-Z-1048-13A 
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
