Fuel pump function - GF47.20-P-4003-02D

The fuel pump (M3) is actuated via the fuel pump relay (N10/2kA) by the ME control unit (N3/10).

The fuel pump draws the fuel from the fuel tank through the integrated fuel strainer. The fuel pump then pumps the suctioned fuel via the fuel filter and the fuel pressure regulator to the high pressure pump. The fuel pressure regulator also limits the fuel pressure (fuel low pressure) to approx. 3.8 bar.
