04/00-2 GROUP 82 - MY 00, S-CLASS, POOR AM RECEPTION OR RECEPTION CHANGES WHEN TOUCHING COMAND UNIT: If you receive a complaint of poor AM reception or reception changing when COMAND unit is touched, the condition may result from noise generated by the remote central locking data line leading to the overhead control panel from the integrated antenna assembly (COMBAR).

Corrective Action: Replace COMBAR (part number 220 820 17 89). Replacement COMBAR should bear the marking "Q5" or higher (e.g. Q5, Q6, Q7, etc.) on the small white dot located on COMBAR assembly. As of 1/1/2000 all parts from your facing PDC should be of at least Q5 level.
