Test 3: Data Bus Instrument Cluster (Vehicles Without Can Connection To Instrument Cluster)

Using Adapter (202 589 03 63 00), connect Breakout Box (129 589 00 21 00) to traction control module. See Figure, Figure or Figure. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Check voltage between terminals No. 17 and 57 at breakout box. 3-4 volts should exist and brake pad wear, low brake fluid/parking brake, ABS, ASR or ETS warning indicator lamps should illuminate. If voltage is not as specified and warning indicator lamps do not illuminate, check wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
