Task
Controlling the idle speed, even when engine operating under load (e.g. with or without gear engaged or A/C compressor on).
Function
The IFI/DFI [ERE/EVE] crankshaft position sensor (L5/6) delivers an A.C. signal to the IFI [ERE] control module (N3/7). The control module calculates the engine speed, compares actual and specified values and governs the injection quantity via the IFI [ERE] fuel quantity actuator (Y23/1) and the control rod.
