Test 28: DAS Control Module Output Deactivation (E300, E320 & E420)

  1. Connect adapter harness and breakout box to DAS control module. Ensure all doors are closed and locked. Measure voltage between terminals No. 17 and 26 at breakout box (DAS control module connector No. 1, terminal No. 3 and connector No. 1, terminal No. 12). Voltage should be less than one volt. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, repair wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Check DAS control module and RCL control module. Check combination control module, located at right rear of engine compartment.
  2. Unlock vehicle by pointing remote transmitter at any vehicle receiver and depressing transmitter button. Ensure vehicle unlocks. Voltage should be 6-8 volts and Green indicator lights should blink. If voltage is as specified and Green indicator lights blink, output deactivation is okay at this time. If voltage is not as specified and Green indicator lights do not blink, repair wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS. Perform TESTS 3 and 4, TEST 6 through TEST 8, and TESTS 10, 15, 16, 18, 19 and 21 under SYSTEM TESTS. Check DAS control module and RCL control module.
