Pedal Value Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1996 Mercedes-Benz SL320. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The pedal value sensor is used to determine throttle position. This throttle position signal is sent to the Motor Electronics Sequential Fuel Injection (ME-SFI) control module. There are 2 pedal value sensors. The second sensor is used as a plausibility check. If the first sensor fails, the ME-SFI system will switch over to the second sensor to continue system operation.
