Camshaft Position Sensor

The camshaft position sensor transmits an alternating voltage signal for every 20-degree rotation after Top Dead Center (TDC). This voltage signal is converted to a square wave signal by the analog-to-digital converter. The square wave signal is processed by the engine control module. The engine control module uses camshaft position signal to control injector sequence synchronization, ignition for engine start, fuel shutoff during ignition failure, and anti-knock control.
