Start Valve

Start valve operation depends on coolant temperature and cranking signal. Start valve is activated by CIS-E control unit up to engine coolant temperature of 158°F (70°C). Duration of cold start injection is in direct relation to coolant temperature. Start valve injection pulse timing and length of pulses is according to predetermined fuel map in CIS-E control unit. Should engine start before start valve completes its cycle, start injection is canceled. Voltage is supplied by MAS.
