Air Flow Sensor Plate Stop

1. Energize fuel pump for about 10 seconds to build proper fuel pressure. The upper edge of the sensor plate should be flush with the cylindrical portion of the funnel. Sensor plate must be installed with TOP or five punch marks facing up.
2. Before adjusting the sensor plate position, remove fuel pump relay bypass, (to avoid excess fuel discharge while moving sensor plate).
3. The sensor plate stop is a pressed in pin located in the mixture control housing between the fuel distributor and the sensor plate funnel. To access the pin:
a. remove fuel line to the fuel distributor.
b. Use a small drift and a suitable hammer to move the pin.
c. If the sensor plate is too high, tap the pin down.
d. If the sensor plate is too low, remove mixture controller housing and tap pin from below.
