Injection Valve Test


Test Values
^ Injection valves - Bosch No. 0 437 502 010
^ Opening pressure with new injection valves - 3.5 - 4.1 bar (51-59 psi)
^ Opening pressure with used injection valves - min. 3.0 bar (44 psi)


Tightening Torques
^ Injection lines to fuel distributor (reference value) - 10-12 Nm (89-107 in. lbs.)
^ Injection lines to injection valves (reference value) - 10-15 Nm (89-132 in. lbs.)

Special Tools

Injector Tester:




^ Valve tester, Bosch KDJE-7452 (P 400) - 904 589 00 21 00

NOTE:
_ Before testing injection valves, fill container of tester with kerosene and bleed tester.
- Injection valves which do not meet specifications must be replaced. Always install new seals with new nozzles.

Test Procedure:




- Follow test procedure shown in image using the injector tester.

Damaged injection valves
- Refer to images below for faulty injector patterns.
