Windshield Wiper Arm Installation Note

- Clean the serrated connecting part with a wire brush before installing the windshield wiper arm.
- If the serrated connecting part is damaged, replace the windshield wiper motor and link. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Align the windshield wiper blade end with the hollowed marks in the ceramic coating and install.
- If the hollowed marks in the ceramic coating cannot be located, adjust the windshield wiper blade end to the position shown in the figure and install.
- Install the nuts.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
- Operate the windshield wiper at low speed.
- Turn off the windshield wiper switch.
- Verify that the windshield wipers stop at the park position as a result of the auto-stop operating.
- If the windshield wiper is not installed to the park position, change the windshield wiper arm and serrated connecting part one groove at a time and adjust it to the park position.
