Removal and Installation
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. See Battery Disconnect

- Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder. See

IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER - NON FUNCTIONAL ,

- If equipped, remove the tilt release lever/ handle.
- Remove the 3 steering column cover screws and the upper and lower steering column covers.
- Remove the key release button bolt and the key release button and spring.
- To install, tighten to 5 N-m (0.5 kgf-m, 44 in-lbf).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
