Neutral Switch Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the neutral switch connector.
  3. Remove the under cover.
  4. Remove the neutral switch.
  5. Install the neutral switch to the transaxle case.

    Tightening torque 

    28.1-52.3 N.m {2.9-5.3 kgf.m, 20.8-38.5 ft.lbf)

  6. Clamp both the neutral switch and back-up light switch wiring harnesses as shown in the figure.
  7. Route the switch wiring harness through the bracket (engine side) as shown in the figure A area.

    CAUTION:
    • If the wiring harness is incorrectly routed, the wiring harness and shift lever weight may contact each other causing the wiring harness to be caught while shifting or damaged.
  8. Install the under cover.
