Exterior Rear View Mirror Switch Inspection
- Remove the exterior rear view mirror switch. See EXTERIOR MIRROR .
- Inspect for continuity between the exterior rear view mirror switch terminals using an ohmmeter.

EXTERIOR REAR VIEW MIRROR SWITCH INSPECTION CHARTCircuit to test Connect self-powered test light or ohmmeter to terminals Move key to these positions A good switch will indicate Left mirror Selector switch left Closed circuit Up 6 and 3
4 and 1Up Closed circuit Down 6 and 1
4 and 3Down Closed circuit Left 6 and 7
4 and 3Left Closed circuit Right 6 and 3
4 and 7Right Closed circuit Right mirror Selector switch right Up 6 and 3
4 and 2Up Closed circuit Down 6 and 2
4 and 3Down Closed circuit Left 6 and 5
4 and 3Left Closed circuit Right 6 and 3
4 and 5Right Closed circuit - If not as specified, replace the exterior rear view mirror switch.
