Removal (B2300)
- Remove the accelerator control splash shield. See Figure.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE .
- Disconnect accelerator cable and cruise control cable (if equipped) from the throttle linkage (1). See Fig 1.
- Disconnect accelerator cable and cruise control cable (if equipped) from the mounting bracket (2). See Fig 1.
- Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor. See Figure.
- Disconnect the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor harness connector. See Fig 2.
- Disconnect the vacuum hose and the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve harness connector. See Fig 3.
- Disconnect the engine vacuum harness, brake booster hose and the crankcase breather hose. See Fig 4.
- Disconnect the engine wiring harness and position it out of the way. See Fig 5.
- Remove the electric EGR tube bracket bolt. See Fig 6.
- Disconnect the swirl control valve harness connector. See Fig 7.
- Disconnect the swirl control valve monitor harness connector. See Fig 8.
- Disconnect the fuel line from the clip. See Fig 9.
- Remove the bolts from the EGR tube flange. See Fig 10.
- Detach the 42-pin harness connector from the bracket and disconnect the intake vacuum hose. See Fig 11.
- Disconnect the engine Knock Sensor (KS) harness connector and disconnect the connector from the intake manifold. See Fig 12.
- Remove the wiring harness push-pin from the bottom of the intake manifold.
- Disconnect the fuel manifold vacuum hose. See Fig 13.
- Remove the 5 bolts and the intake manifold. See Fig 14.
