Trunk Lid Opener Removal/Installation

  1. To remove the trunk lid opener cable, perform the following.
    1. Remove the driver's seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Remove the driver-side front and rear scuff plate.
    3. Remove the driver-side B-pillar lower trim. (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL .) (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM INSTALLATION .)
    4. Remove the driver's seat belt lower anchor.
    5. Remove the passenger's side tire house trim. (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Remove the trunk end trim. (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Turn the floor covering over.
  2. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

  3. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  4. Adjust the trunk lid opener cable. (See TRUNK LID OPENER CABLE ADJUSTMENT  .)
