Test 2: Driver's Power Window Inoperative
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect driver door window regulator connector K-524. Turn ignition on, engine off. While operating driver window control switch, measure voltage between harness side of driver front door window regulator connector K-524, terminal No. 1 (White/Black wire), and harness side of driver front door window regulator connector K-524, terminal No. 2 (Red wire). See Fig 1. If voltage is greater than 10 volts while operating driver window control switch, install new driver door window regulator motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Clear DTCs and retest system operation. If voltage is less than 10 volts while operating driver door window regulator motor, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect driver window control switch connector K-504. Measure resistance between harness side of driver window control switch connector K-504, terminal No. 4 (White/Black wire), and harness side of driver front door regulator connector K-524, terminal "B" (White/Black wire), and between harness side of driver window control switch connector K-504, terminal No. 9 (Red wire), and harness side of driver front door window regulator connector K-524, terminal "A" (Red wire). See Figure and Fig 1
. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair Red wire. Clear DTCs and retest system operation.
- Measure resistance between ground and harness side of driver front door window regulator connector K-524, terminal "B" (White Black wire), and between ground and harness side of driver front door window regulator K-524, terminal "A" (Red wire). If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, install new driver window control switch. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Clear DTCs and retest system operation. If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair appropriate circuits. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Clear DTCs and retest system operation.
