July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Wiper Motor

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disengage linkage from wiper motor. Disconnect wiper motor connector. Connect Green lead from Starting and Charging System Tester (010-00725) to negative battery post.
  2. Connect Red tester lead to wiper motor terminal No. 4 (Black wire on mating connector). Connect jumper wire between wiper motor terminal No. 5 (White wire on mating connector) and positive battery post. Observe ammeter. In low speed, current should not exceed 3.5 amps.
  3. Move jumper wire to wiper motor terminal No. 6 (Dark Blue/Orange wire on mating connector). Again observe ammeter. In high speed, current should not exceed 5.0 amps. If current exceeds specification, replace wiper motor.
