Using Diagnostic Scan Tool

1. Connect special diagnostic tools as shown in Fig. 1 and 2, then follow diagnostic scan tool screen prompts and enter vehicle data as required.

2. Follow scan tool prompts to enter cruise control module diagnosis mode or input switch self-test mode.
3. If input switch self-test mode is used, operate each switch as indicated by scan tool.
4. If diagnostic trouble codes are displayed when either self-test mode is entered, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Interpretation for further information regarding specific diagnostic trouble codes.
5. If no diagnostic trouble codes are displayed, system electronic components are functioning normally. Inspect speed control mechanical devices for malfunctions.
