Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments




Adjustment
- Move the manual shaft to N position.
- Loosen the transmission range switch mounting nuts.




- Remove the screw on the switch body and move the transmission range switch so that the screw hole is aligned with the small hole inside the switch. Check their alignment by inserting a 2.0 mm {0.079 in} diameter pin through the holes.
- Tighten the mounting nuts and remove the pin.

Tightening torque: 5.0 - 8 Nm (44 - 50 in. lbs.)

- Install and tighten the screw in the switch body.
- Check the continuity of the transmission range switch.
- If not correct, replace the transmission range switch.
- Connect the selector lever.

Tightening torque: 45 - 63 Nm (33 - 47 ft. lbs.)
