Power Steering Pressure Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove steering pressure sensor from power steering pump body.
2. Remove and discard old sealing O-ring from sensor.

NOTE: Make sure spring and plunger from sensor did not remain in pump body.

INSTALLATION
1. Install new O-ring onto threaded portion of sensor.
2. Lubricate O-ring, sensor spring and plunger with clean power steering fluid.
3. Install steering pressure sensor assembly into power steering pump body and torque to specifications.

Torque specification: 25 - 29 Nm (19 - 21 ft.lb.)

4. Top off power steering fluid level as necessary.
