Coasting Advance System Test

Connect voltmeter to White/Green wire terminal of coasting advance solenoid valve. Increase engine speed to 3000 RPM and lift idle switch arm. See Figure and Fig 1 . Verify voltmeter indicates appropriate voltage according to RPM. See COASTING ADVANCE SYSTEM RPM/VOLTAGE  table.

2500 or Greater Approx. 12 Volts
2500-1700 Less Than 1.5 Volts
1700 or Less Approx. 12 Volts
