  1. Remove thermo valve from intake manifold and attach short lengths of vacuum hose to ports. Immerse base of valve in a container of water, ensuring vacuum ports are not submersed in water.
  2. Gradually heat water while observing water temperature. When water temperature reaches 122°F (50°C) or above, blow air into lower port, air should flow out upper port.
