Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Lincoln MKZ. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) receives input signals from sensors and other components (switches, relays). Based on this information, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) generates output signals to control various relays, solenoids and actuators. The PCM provides power and ground to the starter relay to initiate cranking of the engine. For more information, Refer to: Electronic Engine Controls . (with 2.0L EcoBoost), or Refer to: Electronic Engine Controls . (with 3.0L EcoBoost)
