Removal And Installation

NOTE: The brake pedal and the accelerator pedal must be in the same position when installing a new cable or a new accelerator pedal. The pedals must be all the way forward or all the way rearward.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
  2. Disconnect the accelerator pedal electrical connector.
  3. Disconnect the accelerator pedal assembly drive cable.
  4. Remove the 3 accelerator pedal assembly bolts and the accelerator pedal assembly.
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
