Inspection and Verification: Notes

  1. Verify the customer concern.
  2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

    • Digital audio compact disc (CD) changer
    • Speakers mounting/speaker cones
    • Battery junction box (BJB) fuse(s):
      • (25A) (P100i)
      • 2 (20A) (Navigation)
      • 12 (20A)
      • 23 (10A) (Navigation)
    • Central junction box (CJB) fuse(s):
      • 3 (10A)
      • 5 (10A) (P100i)
      • 9 (7.5)
      • 33 (15A)
    • Connectors
    • Ignition switch
    • Circuitry
    • Audio unit
    • Antenna
    • Antenna cable
    • Audio ignition interference capacitor
    • Audio frequency interference suppression bond
    • Audio receiver hood bonding strap
  3. If the fault is not visually evident, proceed to the Speaker Walk-Around Test, Audio Unit Self-Diagnostic Mode and the Diagnostic Tool Diagnostic Procedure.
