Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the right front door scuff plate.
3. Remove the right side cowl side trim panel.







4. Remove the components in the order indicated in the illustration and table.

Item 3: PCM and Bracket Bolt Removal Note







1. Lower the glove box past the stops and disconnect the cable from the side of the glove box.

Item 4: PCM and Bracket Assembly Removal Note







1. Remove the pin-type retainer and position up the sound deadening insulation.







2. Remove the lower screw for the fuel pump driver module and position back and disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the PCM and bracket as an assembly.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
