Transmission Range Sensor: Installation

Install the TR sensor and loosely install the bolts. Manual shift lever shaft must be in the Neutral position. Using the TR Sensor Alignment Gauge (307-351), align the TR sensor slots. See Figure . The TR sensor adjuster is designed to fit snugly. Tighten the bolts to specification and remove the TR sensor adjuster. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . With the manual lever in overdrive, connect the shift cable. Connect the TR sensor harness connector. Lower the vehicle. Connect the negative battery cable.
