July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Activating System

  1. Disconnect positive battery cable. Wait one minute. Remove air bag simulator(s). Reconnect driver-side air bag connector to air bag module. Install driver-side air bag module on steering wheel.
  2. Tighten nut and washer assemblies to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Reconnect passenger side air bag connector to air bag module (if equipped). Install air bag module. Tighten bolts and screws to specification.
  3. Reconnect passenger-side air bag connector to air bag module. Tighten air bag bolt to specification. Close glove box door. Reconnect positive battery cable. Reconnect negative battery cable. Check AIR BAG light for system faults.
