False Triggering
- Turn key from off to run. If Alarm indicator extinguishes after approximately 10 seconds, go to step 7. If Alarm extinguishes immediately go to step 2. Close all doors and hood. Arm system. If system arms and does not trigger, go to step 2). If system triggers after warning light shuts off, go to step 4).
- Move luggage compartment lock cylinder connector, while system is armed. If system triggers, replace luggage compartment lock cylinder and matching glove box lock cylinder. Retest system. If system does not trigger, go to step 3).
- Apply movement to hood. If system triggers, adjust hood height for flush fit and retest. If system does not trigger, replace control module and retest.
- Check voltage at pin No. 3 of control module harness connector. If reading is more than 7 volts, go to step 5). If reading less than 2 volts, check circuit No. 627 (Black/Orange) wire or door jam switches.
- Check voltage at pin No. 5 of control module harness connector. If reading is more than 7 volts, replace control module and retest. If reading is less than 2 volts, disconnect luggage compartment lock switch from wiring harness and go to step 6).
- Check voltage at pin No. 5 of control module harness connector. If reading is more than 7 volts, replace luggage compartment lock switch. If reading less than 2 volts, disconnect hood switch from wiring harness and go to step 7).
- Check voltage at pin No. 5 of control module harness connector. If reading is more than 7 volts, adjust hood height for flush fit or replace hood switch. If reading less than 2 volts, check circuit No. 26 (White/Purple) wire for short to ground. Retest system.
- Disconnect module from wiring harness and measure resistance between Pin 10 to Pin 26 (wire harness side). If resistance measures between 145 ohms and 175 ohms, replace module. If resistance measures less than 145 ohms or greater than 175 ohms, replace ignition key lock cylinder sensor or check circuit 936 (Dark Green/White) wire.
