Ignition Key Disarm
- Arm the alarm system from inside the vehicle. Turn ignition key to ACC or RUN position, then to OFF position. Open vehicle door. If warning light blinks, ignition disarm sequence is okay. If alarm triggers, use door key to stop alarm, then go to step 2).
- Check voltage at terminal No. 4, circuit No. 298 (Dark Green/Purple) wire of control module with ignition switch in RUN or ACC position. If reading is more than 9 volts, replace control module and retest system. If reading is less than 2 volts, check ignition switch or circuit No. 298 for open circuit.
- Disarm alarm system with door key. Lock doors with electric door lock switch. Unlock driver's door with keyless entry code and ensure that doors unlock. If driver's door unlocks, go to step 4). If driver's door does not unlock, see KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM article.
- Check for a momentary battery voltage signal at pin No. 8 of control module when keyless entry code is entered. If momentary battery voltage signal is present, replace control module. If battery voltage signal is not present, check circuit No. 163 (Red/Orange) wire.
