Variable Assist System Testing

NOTE: Vehicles feature computer assisted diagnostics using the STAR Tester, (Rotunda 007-00017) or SUPER STAR II Tester, (Rotunda 007-00028) hand held unit. Refer to VARIABLE ASSIST TROUBLE CODES  for code explanation.
  1. To enter diagnostics, perform the following procedure. With ignition off, connect STAR Tester to diagnostic connector. See Figure . Turn on ignition and wait minimum of 5 seconds. Depress Tester button. Code 10 followed by Code 12 or 13 should be displayed. While still holding button down, open and close all four doors and turn steering wheel.
  2. Release Tester button, wait at least 5 seconds, and depress button. Star Tester will display Code 11 if system is okay, or trouble codes if problem found. Turn off ignition to exit testing.
