Control Module

System temperature control is accomplished by a control module which contains a microprocessor. The control module is mounted on top of the control assembly. See Figure .

Inputs to the module include: in-car temperature sensor, ambient temperature sensor, control panel blower switch, and temperature lever setting. These inputs are used to determine blend door position and variable blower speed. When the vacuum selector valve is in the "FLOOR" position, power supply to the control module is controlled by the thermal blower lock-out switch.

NOTE: Control module is grounded behind right side trim panel on Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis. On Town Car, control module is grounded behind left side kick panel.
