Electrical Component Locator: Switches

SWITCHES LOCATION

Component Location
A/C Ambient Temp. Switch (Diesel) On right side of radiator support.
A/C ATC Temp. Switch (Diesel) On left rear side of cylinder head.
A/C Clutch Cycling Pressure Switch On top of accumulator/drier.
A/C Cut-Out Switch (Diesel) On right side of dash.
A/C Turbo Boost Sw. (Diesel) On left fender apron.
Air Suspension Switch On trunk left hinge support.
Back-Up Light Switch On left side of transmission.
Brake/Stop Light Switch On top of brake pedal arm, at clevis pin.
Cold Start Temp. Switch (Diesel) On left rear side of cylinder head.
Coolant Temperature Switch On left side of engine.
Coolant Temp. Sw. (Diesel) On left side of cylinder head.
Door Open Warning Switch In each door, at door lock.
Dual Brake Warning Switch On left front fender apron. See Figure.
EGR Micro Switch (Diesel) On injection pump.
EGR Temp. Switch (Diesel) On left side of cylinder head.
Fuel Filler Door Release Switch
Continental Inside upper left corner of glove box.
Mark VII In floor console.
Fuel Heater Temp. Sw. (Diesel) On top of fuel filter assembly.
Fuel Pump Inertia Switch On inboard side of trunk left hinge support.
Key Warning Switch Part of ignition key switch.
Low Oil Level Switch In oil pan.
Neutral/Start Switch On rear of transmission.
Neutral/Start Switch (Diesel) On left side of transmission.
Oil Press. Switch (Diesel) On right side of engine, on oil filter housing.
Parking Brake Switch On parking brake lever.
Seat Belt Switch In driver's seat belt buckle.
Trunk Lock Removal Switch In trunk, near lock.
Trunk Pull Down Switch Part of trunk latch.
Trunk Release Switch Inside upper left corner of glove box.
Trunk Switch Part of trunk release solenoid.
Turbo Overboost Sw. (Diesel) On bottom of intake manifold.
Washer Fluid Level Switch On bottom of washer fluid reservoir.
