WASTEGATE & Actuator

The wastegate by-passes extra exhaust gas into the manifold to limit compressor output. The actuator is a pressure-sensitive diaphragm which responds to boost pressure. Once the pressure reaches a certain level, the actuator opens the wastegate. The wastegate is mounted to turbine assembly.
