Maximum Speed Procedure
- Warm engine to operating temperature. Open throttle fully. See Fig 1 . Loosen the locknut, and quickly adjust maximum speed.
- With the throttle fully open, check throttle cable adjustment to be sure speed control lever rests on stop screw. Adjust if necessary.
NOTE:
All other injection pump adjustments will have to be made if the maximum engine speed adjustment has been altered.

NOTE:
The injection pump operating lever adjustment can be made ONLY after the idle/maximum speed is correct, operating temperature is normal, and play is provided between the knurled nut and the operating lever.
