Governor Assembly: Installation

  1. Lubricate governor parts with clean transmission fluid. Ensure valve moves freely in bore. Position governor body on counterweight with cover facing toward front of vehicle. Install and tighten 2 retaining screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Position governor drive ball into pocket on output shaft. Align keyway in counterweight with drive ball and drive assembly onto output shaft with mallet. Install governor-to-output shaft retaining snap ring. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
