Turbine Assembly
The turbine and compressor are connected by a shaft. When the turbine wheel turns, the compressor wheel must turn. Hot exhaust gas is fed into the turbine and causes the blades to spin. The more exhaust gas that is piped into the turbine, the faster both units will spin.
