Removal [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (See article. Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2014 - 10/2015] Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2015 - ] ).

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See article. Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - ] ).

  5. REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 

    (See article. Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] )

  6. REMOVE BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    After removing the brake control power supply assembly from the vehicle, there may be an electrical charge left in the internal capacitor. If planning to inspect the inside of the brake control power supply assembly, leave it as is for more than 24 hours (to discharge it) after removing it from the vehicle. Then, perform the inspection.

    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and brake control power supply.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY BRACKET 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw labeled A in the illustration and remove the 2 No. 1 brake control power supply brackets.

      NOTE:

      Do not drop the brake control power supply. If the brake control power supply has been dropped, replace the brake control power supply with a new one.
