Monitor Description

The hybrid vehicle control ECU performs diagnostic monitoring to verify proper operation of internal and external ECU systems. For this diagnostic monitor, the hybrid vehicle control ECU monitors the important RAM range of the hybrid vehicle control ECU. If the hybrid vehicle control ECU detects an error in the important RAM circuits, it will conclude that there is an internal malfunction in the hybrid vehicle control ECU. The hybrid vehicle control ECU will illuminate the MIL and set a DTC.
