Inspection Procedure: Procedure
- CHECK DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY
- Disconnect the J100 connector from the display and navigation module display.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition J100-16 (REV) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG)
Shift lever in R11 to 14 V J100-16 (REV) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG)
Shift lever in any position except RBelow 1 V

OK → See step 9
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY - MAIN BODY ECU LH)
- Disconnect the Q2 connector from the main body ECU LH (cowl side junction block LH).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition J100-16 (REV) - Q2-2 (BACK) Always Below 1 Ω J100-16 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - Proceed to the next step based on the inspection result.

A → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU LH - BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH)
- Disconnect the LJ connector from the main body ECU LH (cowl side junction block LH).
- Disconnect the E55 connector from the back-up light switch assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition LJ-23 (BKUP) - E55-1 Always Below 1 Ω LJ-23 (BKUP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)
- Disconnect the E55 connector from the back-up light switch assembly.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E55-2 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Replace the back-up light switch assembly.
- Enter "Vehicle Signal Check Mode".
HINT:
Refer to Check Vehicle Signal in Operation Check.
- Navigation system (for DVD). Refer to OPERATION CHECK
- Navigation system (for HDD). Refer to OPERATION CHECK
- Check that the display changes between ON and OFF according to the shift lever operation.

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECT / Data List.
- According to the display on the Techstream, read the "Data List".ECM

- Not in R: OFF
When the shift lever position displayed on the Techstream differs from the actual position, the adjustment of the park/neutral position switch or shift cable may be incorrect OK

- Replace the main body ECU LH (cowl side junction block LH).
