Intake Manifold: Installation: Installation

- INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD
- Install 2 new gaskets to the intake manifold.
- Temporarily install the intake manifold with the 2 nuts and 8 bolts. Then tighten the 2 nuts and 8 bolts uniformly in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the No. 1 ventilation hose to the intake manifold.

NOTE:Position the claws of the clip as shown in the illustration.
- INSTALL VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

- Install the vacuum switching valve with the bolt.
Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the fuel vapor feed hose to the intake manifold.
- Connect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose to the vacuum switching valve.
- Install the vacuum switching valve with the bolt.
- INSTALL WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Install the water by-pass pipe to the intake manifold with the 2 bolts.
- Connect the heater inlet water hose, heater outlet water hose, water inlet hose, and No. 3 water by-pass hose to the water by-pass pipe with the 4 clamps.NOTE:
Position the No. 3 water by-pass hose clip as shown in the illustration.
- INSTALL INJECTOR DRIVER

- Install the injector driver to the intake manifold by installing the 2 bolts and 2 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the 4 wire harness connectors to the injector driver. Then move the lock lever as shown in the illustration to lock the connectors.
- Connect the 2 clamps to the injector driver.
- Install the injector driver to the intake manifold by installing the 2 bolts and 2 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.
- CONNECT ENGINE WIRE
- Connect the engine wire harness connector.
HINT:
To connect the injector driver connectors, move the lock lever to lock the connector.
- Connect the engine wire harness with the 4 nuts.

Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the 12 clamps and 10 connectors.
- Connect the engine wire harness to the No. 1 relay block with the nut.
Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
- Connect the 6 clamps and 12 connectors.
- Install the engine wire harness clamp bracket with the nut.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the +B terminal of the generator assembly with the nut.
Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the engine wire harness with the 4 nuts.
- Connect the engine wire harness connector.
- INSTALL NO. 3 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR
- Install the No. 3 exhaust manifold heat insulator with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
- Install the No. 3 exhaust manifold heat insulator with the 3 bolts.
- INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
- INSTALL NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 7
- INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
- INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
- INSTALL OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Install the oil cooler tube sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 14 N*m (138 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf)
- Install the oil cooler tube sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.
- INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 19
- INSTALL FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Active Stabilizer System)
- Install the front active stabilizer control actuator assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR (w/o Active Stabilizer System)
- Install front stabilizer bar. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
- Install front exhaust pipe assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 11 .
- INSTALL THROTTLE BODY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 45
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 46
- INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 68
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
- ADD ENGINE COOLANT . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 4
- INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
