Center Airbag Sensor Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

- CHECK OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR BRANCH LINE)
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Disconnect the center airbag sensor connector (J47).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Value J47-13 (CANH) - J47-22 (CANL) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CANH, CANL)
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG2, E1, E2)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Value J47-25 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω J47-26 (E2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Value J47-21 (IG2) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 3
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL
