July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY RADIO RECEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the F29 display connector.
    2. Disconnect the F25 receiver connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F29-4 (VV-) - F25-2 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      F29-1 (VV+) - F25-1 (NTSC) Always Below 1 Ω
      F29-4 (VV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F29-1 (VV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F25-3 (SLD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER (NTSC SIGNAL) 
    1. Reconnect the F25 receiver connector.
    2. Check the waveform of the radio receiver using an oscilloscope.

      Measurement Condition 

      WAVEFORM REFERENCE

      Item Content
      Terminal No. (Symbol) NTSC (F25-1) - Body ground
      Tool Setting 0.2V/DIV., 10μsec./DIV.
      Condition DVD played on radio receiver

      OK: Waveform is as shown in the illustration. 

    NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
