DTC Check / Clear

CHECK DTC
1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the tester on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobilizer / Trouble Codes.
5. Read the DTCs.
  HINT:
  - When using Techstream with the ignition switch LOCK to troubleshoot: Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn the front door courtesy light switch LH on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.
  - Refer to the Techstream operator's manual for further details.
CHECK FOR ECM DTC
1. Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the tester on.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
5. Read the DTCs.
CLEAR DTC
1. Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the tester on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobilizer / Trouble Codes.
5. Erase the DTCs.
  HINT:
  - When using Techstream with the ignition switch LOCK to troubleshoot: Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn the front door courtesy light switch LH on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.
