DTC Check / Clear

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Toyota RAV4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON and turn the Techstream ON.
    3. Select the following menu items: Body Electrical / Immpobiliser / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check DTCs and then write them down.

      HINT:

      Refer to the Techstream operator's manual for further details.

    5. Confirm the details of the DTCs (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
  2. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON (do not start the engine) and turn the Techstream ON.
    3. Select the following menu items: Body Electrical / immobilizer / Trouble Codes.
    4. Erase DTCs.
